Style Sorted!

Hellooooo! This should be the final style of the film, i just wanted the town to look very sketchy and simple. So here one little doodle i did today.

Character Drawings

So far I haven't really tried out any character drawings, so here is my first attempt in a long while.

Blossom Trees

I just did a wee doodle of an idea for the blossom tree for our animation. I think it has a great likeness to the Birdbox style that we are currently going for.

Painting Inspired by Eyvind Earle

I have always adored the Sleeping Beauty backgrounds painted by Eyvind Earle. I love his atteention to detail and how  he was able to create the very stylized forests. So here was me trying to recreate his style.

This is a few life drawings i did today, i think most of them were 10 to 20 minute poses. I had a good drawing day for once hurrah!

Trees..

Tree ideas for our 4th year animation, I wanted a sort of collage look similar way to Mary Blair's work. I have also been looking at Tim Burton and Quentin Blake's illustrations for inspiration.

Recently I have been studying work by Mary Blair. I just love the simplicity of her work, they are so vivid in colour and pattern, so i wanted to try out her block style. So here is my wee painting of my Inked house.

Take a look at this short, at first i thought it would be a cute little Pixar style short....I was very wrong! It reminds me very much so of Tim Burton's style of animation, so check it out!
