Line Drawings

This week I have been looking at town perspectives and just drew this small street. I am actually beginning to like it better than the original drawing I just did as I think it suits better to the style...it would be great if I could have anyone's opinion on this!

Size Comparison

Just trying to work out the size of everything in the environments just now using  Lynne's little character. I thought she looked really small here but the blossom tree is one of the main features of the last scene so it needs to stand out I guess.

A Figment of Your Imagination

I was looking through old holiday photographs and saw I have one with Figment. I don't know if many of you know him but he was a cute dragon that was the mascot for Imagination at Epcot. So a while back I did this little sketch of him :)

Will Vinton Animations

Just thought I would post this clip of one of Will Vinton Claymations, because I have research on his stuff for my dissertation. Years ago i saw this animation and thought it was so clever with the way in which it was done. I then recently watched Return to Oz, an old favourite of mine when I was kid, and discovered that the claymation effects were produced by Will Vinton. And also at this years Annecy we were lucky enough to see all of his Claymation shorts. They never showed this film, but I found it interesting how much controversy it caused and how it had to be censored from television. It is a very strange piece of animation, however it is very thought provoking and is an unbelievable dark animation especially for Will Vinton, the man that produced The P J's.

Ray

I was watching Princess and the Frog and i forgot what a beautiul animation it is. And I forgot how much I love Ray! Such a lovely character, i love the way his legs swing about. Eventually I will colour this...
